On the up side. I got my hands on a bike, which has been super fun and handy. It’s an old cruiser with only one gear and pedal brakes, but it was loaned to me for nothing and I’m loving it. If only I had more places to go.
I'm also still enjoying SOME Harry, because after I finished book 7 last week I decided to go back to the beginning. That said, I'm already well into book 4, so the end draws near yet again... sigh.
The other night I went to the Evil Dead musical, which was both more and less funny than I expected it to be. If you’re a fan of the movie, it’s worth seeing. They spray “blood” into the audience, though. Consider yourselves warned. I also went out with a random bunch of people afterwards, some of whom I used to know at Queen’s. I was glad to have something concrete and social to do, but like the musical, it was both more and less funny than I expected it to be.
Work wise, I contributed to a story on so-called sex books for The Tyee and it published a little while ago, but I forgot to post the link. I wrote the reviews of the Bunny Book and the Make Your Own Sex Toys book, if you wanna Google it.
And finally, for everyone who’s asked, here’s the latest publishable tidbit from the No-I’m-Not-Kidding file: On Tuesday, my dad called my new neighbourhood (the Annex) “the ghetto”. Side note: A fairly unattractive semi detached house on my street just sold for more than 899 k. Apparently, it IS hard out there for a pimp. Who knew?
What else? Nothing. It’s too hot to type.
