Nonetheless, Halloween is coming and there's no other holiday I find more fun or inspiring. This year, I want to get serious about decorating for all hallows and with that in mind, I turned to (who else?) Martha, for some inspiration. The first crafty plan is to make some of these fun mouse/rat pumpkins. Here's Martha's version:
It's a little early in the month to actually get started on this craft (if I do, the pumpkin will surely start to rot/mould before the 31st), but you get the idea. Buy a pumpkin. Gut it. Cut holes in it. Place rodents. Easy peasy. Can't wait to try it. Until I do, my rodents are displayed inside, among my milk glass collection, which is plenty creepy and a good Halloween idea in and of itself if you ask me.
Update: I did a test run and learned some lessons along the way. See the results and read all about it here.
