Then you've got the makings for some cute holiday ornaments!
I came up with this idea because I had some pretty pink beads kicking around my craft box and wanted to make use of them. They're faceted and very sparkly.
And while they were a bit too much on a necklace, who doesn't love a little sparkle around the holidays?
Bam! The itty bitty ornament idea was born.
Here's what you need to make some of your own:
Needle-nose pliers (with built in wire snips)
1. Take a safety pin and cut off the head and sharp point. Keep the remaining straight bit with the loop on top.
2. Thread the straight bit through the bead. The loop will be the top of your ornament.
3. Bend down the straight end of the pin (poking through the bottom of your bead) using your pliers. This will secure the pin and keep it from slipping back though.
4. Loop thread through the metal loop to make a hanging device for your ornament.
5. Admire your handiwork.
And honestly, these little guys are really pretty. These pics don't do them justice. (Curse my wretched camera!)
I suggest you make some immediately.
