Not sure why, really. I suppose because there are so many things I like, and so few I'm actually able to have.
I saw several things for sale on Craigslist this week (that's in the Toronto or Greater Toronto Area only, of course) that caught my eye.
First, a set of small bureaus that I think would make beautiful bedside tables (see pic above). $200 for the set. Next, a arc (or rather, Arco-style) floor lamp for only $45. Finally, a 1950s era kitchen table and four vinyl chairs for only $10 (for the whole set.)
I know. Trust me, I know. It's hard to envision.
But frankly, this is the best thing about bargain hunting. If it was easy, everyone would do it. It's not. And if you could make something beautiful out of something so seemingly hideous, well then. You'd be something special, wouldn't you?
