So Nate and I, along with our friends Matt and Rachel, are going on a road trip.

First stop? Montreal. Because we have to stop somewhere, so we might as well visit friends and relatives at the same time.

Second stop? A cottage on the Bay of Fundy (Nova Scotia side.) Camp fires! S'mores! Seafood! Mud flats! It's gonna be amazing.

Third stop? Halifax. See more friends and explore the town.

Fourth stop? Fredericton. Attend a conference (arguably, the purpose of the trip) and recover from the drinking.

Then home again, home again, jiggity jig.

Sounds like tonnes o' fun, right? Any advice? Any east coast experts out there who want to weight in about great things to do and/or see?

All four of you are going to be in Fredericton? Damn, too bad the timing works out so badly.

Christy! You can't suggest S'mores! S'mores are already on the OFFICIAL agenda!

Wow, what a wonderful time you'll be having! How long is your trip? I can't suggest anything, because my East Coast time was spent in the Philadelphia area, with only brief trips up north. I guess if you get a chance to eat lobster, you should do that. I had East Coast lobster last year that was far different than any I had had before...perhaps because I was on the East Coast. ;) I loved it. I haven't had any that I like here in California.

Thanks J! We are going for about 10 days. Some of that will be spent driving, though. I think we have about 20 hours on the road each way.

I will try to take good pictures and come up with recommendations of my own, in case you're ever up this way.

My family went to PEI when I was 12. All I remember is chasing my brother with a half-dead crab that kind of meandered onto shore. Sooo if you get the chance to chase someone with a crab, that'd be cool.
